We’ve been offered a dog. My initial thought, as it is with all animals, is let’s just bring her in and deal with it. But the reality is that despite how good this girl is, it’s probably going to upset out cats, four of whom are senior cats and one who is very, very senior at twenty-one. It’s going to cost more than we probably have, because the dog has allergies and such and any free time, which if you read this blog, you know I have very little of to begin with, is likely to go bye-bye.

Still. My heart bleeds for situations like this, and I do want a dog (I would love a St. Bernard or a Burmese Mountain Dog), but man, I just don’t know if I can do that to our cats. Or if we have the resources. I guess we’ll see.

If I’m writing about our new dog Molly tomorrow, well, you know I’m a sucker.
